Heidi joined the Innovations Healthcare team in November of 2021. Heidi received her diploma in nursing from Lincoln Technical Institute in Rhode Island and is a certified infection preventionist. She has spent most of her nursing career working in long term care and assisted living facilities where past roles include charge nurse, unit manager and infection preventionist. Heidi offers additional experience and knowledge to the Innovations team, as she has worked in a variety of areas in healthcare- including outpatient substance abuse treatment, blood/plasma donation, nursing education, and vaccine administration. Heidi brings previous experience in clinical consulting and has worked with numerous facilities across RI, MA and CT. Heidi’s clinical interests include infection control, memory care, medication administration and pharmacology as well as behavioral health. Outside of work, Heidi has volunteered with her local emergency management agency, administering Covid-19 vaccines at state sponsored clinics in her community. In her free time, Heidi enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, and camping with her husband and their 4 kids. As a consultant, Heidi prides herself on her hands on approach and strong attention to detail. Heidi strives to facilitate change and improvement in the long term care facilities she works with so they can provide the high-quality care their residents deserve.  

Melissa began working for Innovations Healthcare in 2022

An LPN for 17 years, Melissa obtained her RN from Gateway Community College in 2021.  Her experience ranges from Short Term Rehab & Long Term care, Hospice and most recently after-hours supervision in the LTACH setting.   Melissa is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant as well as has certifications from the Crisis Prevention Institute and the AHA as an ACLS provider.    

Melissa is presently working towards her BSN and Post Acute Care certification. 

Tracy joined the Innovations Healthcare team in July of 2022. She received her nursing degree at Goodwin College in Connecticut and also earned a Master's in Nursing Education degree through Capella University in Minnesota. Tracy has experience in the hospital setting where she mostly cared for patients who suffered spinal cord injuries and strokes. She has also worked in the long term care community as a unit manager of a long term care unit of 60 residents. In addition, Tracy has spent some time as an educator for student nurses pursuing a licensed practical nurse degree. 

In Tracy’s spare time, she and her husband enjoy watching their 2 boys play baseball, spending time with family and friends and vacationing to new places.  Tracy takes pride in the work she conducts as a nursing consultant. Her goal is to help make improvements in the long term care setting and assist facilities in providing the best care to their residents. 

Lauren joined the Innovations Healthcare team in July of 2022. She received her nursing degree at Southeastern Technical Institute in Easton, MA in 2009. Lauren has over twelve years experience in long term care and nursing management. Lauren specializes in nursing education and empowering nurses to grow in their roles and also patient advocacy.   The best part of being a nurse consultant for Lauren is to see long term care facilities thrive after receiving the support they needed from Innovations Healthcare. While not at work, Lauren enjoys gardening with her husband, hiking with her kids, and practicing yoga whenever she can.
